The Brisbane Airport Corporation Business Award was introduced into the Lilley Australia Day Award program in 2001. The award is granted to a business organisation to recognise important contributions in cash or kind to local community groups.
Brisbane Airport Corporation has sponsored the Business Award since its inception in 2001.
The business contributions can be to non-profit organisations by way of donations of equipment and/or expertise which enable non-profit organisations to raise funds to carry out their objectives or complete projects. In some instances the assistance allows community groups to conduct raffles, sausage sizzles etc. on their premises.
